Sydney - Australia

Sydney is often described as one of the world’s most mesmerising cities for ringing in the New Year. That’s because every New Year’s Eve, Sydney Harbour is set ablaze with dazzling fireworks displays lighting up the night sky.

Fireworks can be seen from as far away as 16km. The display lasts for 12 minutes and is accompanied by songs performed by famous singers. Thousands of eager partygoers camped out at spots around the harbour to welcome the new year will often keep the party going till the first sunrise of the new year arrives.

Huge numbers of locals as well as visitors flock to Sydney Harbour to witness with their own eyes one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in the world with millions more watching fireworks on TV.
